Cricket Ultra Clean Detangler UC120

I bought this comb at Sally's Beauty Supply. It has teeth a little wider than my Goody detangler. It is also a heavier comb to hold. I didn't have to file any seams. It is actually hard to see any seams on this comb. This comb is inexpensive. I like to try new things for my hair but don't like to spend too much money. This was a good investment for me.

Goody Widetooth with handle

I love this detangler. I have been using if for 3 years. You can find the Goody brand in most drugstore and chain stores. It has wide teeth that gentle comb through my thick med/coarse hair. The comb is light to hold. I didn't have to file any seams. This comb is inexpensive. I like to try new things for my hair but don't like to spend too much money. This was a good investment for me.

Horn Combs

My horn comb did not come with a makers name, but rather came as a gift from a friend. I believe she got it at a Chinese Market. The comb is beautiful. While the teeth are a little closer together than I normally like, I can't resist using this comb because of the great stimulation it brings to my scalp. I keep the smaller, palm sized comb in my purse, while keeping the larger at my vanity.

Madora (Dr. George Michael) Brush

I have a Madora all BB brush which I have been enjoying very much. I use it to distribute my oils when I don't want to mess up the cushion on my MP. This brush is all wood, so the oils only help, not harm. It feels great on the scalp as well!

Martin Grötsch

"Strähnenboy" Comb

I dearly like handmade combs, and the one I currently use is a comb I bought ten years ago at a small trade fair for image-weaving. Since then I had to disassemble my loom because university students don't have any living space to speak of, but the
comb is still with me as a detangling tool. It is made by Martin Grötsch, handsawed and -finished has no seams at all, is suited to heavy duty (pulling threads in a rag-carpet) and wonderful for hair. It is the model by Martin Grötsch www.kammacher.de (it is a German only site, but they send merchandise internationally). It is 10cm wide, made of cherrywood (at least my model is), has eight teeth and travels with me all the time.

Mason Pearson Brushes

Popular Mixed

I have the Mason Pearson Mixed Popular brush. I have had it for several years now and feel it is just an excellent brush! I enjoy everything about it. The size is large, the cushion has give. I love it that they include a cleaning brush to keep the bristles clean! It's the Cadillac of all brushes! It's my lifetime brush... expensive, but will last a lifetime.

Mason Pearson Combs

"Rake"

Mason Pearson Rake: I just love the rake! It's the best comb around! I enjoy it so much and it gets so much use! It's perfect for my hair since the wide teeth spaces don't mess up my waves. Perfection!
